The 5th grade class from WSGC visited Glen Brook this week and engaged in their environment with curiosity and creativity as driving forces. They analyzed plant matter from the Glen Brook woods and Gap Mountain, asking critical questions about why it looks and feels the way it does. They explored their creative side by using these plants to create beautiful flower press designs and spore prints. They thought deeply about how to care for our world and the creatures that live in it, tending to the Glen Brook animals and some caterpillars visiting from the local Caterpillar Lab. And as an added bonus, this class was treated to the sight of the Aurora Borealis on their last night! What a special and fun week it was!
